What we collect

Your name, contact details, identity or passport number where a service requires it, vehicle details where relevant, and the supporting documents you upload or hand in.

Why we collect it

Only to prepare, submit and follow up the service you asked us for, to confirm the correct price, and to contact you about your application.

Your consent

We ask for your explicit consent on every application form before we process anything. You may withdraw consent at any time, although we may then be unable to complete a service already in progress.

How we protect it

• Uploaded documents are stored in private, encrypted storage.
• Documents are never publicly accessible and are not indexed by search engines.
• Only authorised PostWeb Northcliff staff can open a document, and only through a short-lived secure link.
• Application records are protected by database access rules and staff authentication.
• Tracking requires both a reference number and a matching phone number or email address.

Who we share it with

Only the authority or service provider needed to complete your request — for example a licensing department, the South African Police Service or a courier company. We never sell your information or use it for marketing without permission.

How long we keep it

We keep personal information only for as long as necessary to provide the requested service and meet applicable legal or record-keeping requirements.

Your rights

You may ask what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it where we are not legally required to keep it, object to processing, or lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa.
